Are you looking to vacation this summer? There are wonderful locations that are just a couple hours from the Charlotte area. See below for a couple of great vacation spots to take your family this summer.

• Folly Beach, SC. This is a quiet beach right outside of Charleston. It is a perfect getaway that has fishing trips, a breezy bike ride, and a great family atmosphere.
• Asheville, NC. Located in the North Carolina mountains this a perfect urban location not far from the Charlotte area. There are great places to hike and explore the outdoors. There are great family activities like the Biltmore house and ziplining
• Wrightsville Beach, NC. Just east of Wilmington, Wrightsville Beach offers crystal-clear waters. Scuba divers find this area interesting because they can explore any of the 200 wrecks that are on the ocean floor. There are also many good restaurants that are located in downtown Wilmington.
• Raleigh, NC. The capital of North Carolina has such great history to share with the family. There are several great parks to take the kids. There is the North Carolina Museum of Art and the Museum of Nature that are very interactive.
