Labor Day!

Monday September 2nd 2013 is Labor Day!

The first Labor Day to be nationally recognized was in 1894.

Labor Day gained national recognition quickly, as labor unions increased in number and influence during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. After time, the holiday focused more on an overall civil work force, based on the need for all types of workers. Influential speeches, parades and motivational activities were the focus of Labor Day in our great nations past. Today’s Labor Day is most often celebrated with a parade and a barbeque followed by pool parties or backyard gatherings.

How ever you celebrate, we want to wish all of you a very Happy Labor Day!

We will be closed to observe this wonderful national holiday but will re-open on Tuesday September 3rd!
