18 Dec Keeping Your Pets Warm This Winter
Pets are a part of the family too and it is important to keep them warm this winter. Pets need to remain healthy and happy during the cold months ahead. When the temperature drops significantly it is best to bring your pets indoors. Not all of us want animals in the house, but it will protect them from getting frostbite or hypothermia. Freezing temperatures can do harm to a pets nose and paws. Don’t allow your pets around solid ice. Elderly pets have an especially hard time walking on snow and ice. Pets are sensitive to cold temperatures and need to be protected.
If you are unable to keep your pets inside provide them an outdoor shelter that will protect them from Mother Nature. Not only is it important to look out for you own pets, but help out those neighborhood animals who don’t have shelter. Make sure your pets are fed well and give them plenty of water. Outdoor pets require extra energy to keep their body temperature stable during cold temperatures. Just like us, pets prefer comfortable sleeping places. Take care of your pets this winter and show them the love that they need.
