Planning a Super Bowl Party?

The Super Bowl is one of the biggest party events of the season. Your friends and you need to keep all your attention focused on the game, and that means no distractions around the home. There is nothing that ends a good time faster than someone getting hurt.

It is a good bet that there will be some alcoholic drinks at your party. That makes the game a lot more fun for everyone, but when you drink you take a risk. There are four important things that you need to watch out for during your party.

1. As the responsible host of the party, you need to be aware that if you serve alcoholic beverages your guests might fall and guests might fight. Keep things light, enjoyable, and safe. Make sure that the stairs are clear and that the little problems in your home that you have learned to steer around are taken care of. If a room cannot be made safe, then there is nothing wrong with closing it off and keeping the party in the living room. Try to make sure your guests do not have any reason to go upstairs or down into the basement.

2. Keep a friendly eye on your fellow partiers and try to interrupt any conversations that get too heated. If someone has had too much to drink, then use your powers of persuasion to get them to slow down. Parties are the most fun when everyone is enjoying themselves.

The other two things to look out for are perhaps the most dangerous.

3. It is very rare, but food can sometimes make people sick when it is prepared incorrectly. Make sure that you follow all basic sanitary guidelines and do not feed anything to your guests that you do not trust.

4. The most important thing to do, though, is to make sure that nobody drives away drunk. Pass the hat at the beginning of the party and make sure everyone puts their car keys in it. When they have had too much alcohol to drive, provide them with a comfortable place to sleep it off. Never believe a drinker when they say they can handle it. It is not worth the risk.

We hope these takeaways help make your Super Bowl more safe and enjoyable.
